Augustana College Economic Education Workshop teaching packets.
The Augustana College Economic Education Workshop teaching packets were assembled at workshops held by Augustana between 1958 and 1963. The packets are primarily designed to assist elementary school teachers teaching the basics of economics to students in kindergarten through third grade, with some materials focusing on junior high school students. Augustana College’s Economic Education Workshops were directed by Marcus Bruhn, chair of Augustana’s economics department.

The Augustana College Faculty and Committees records/minutes contain materials on the activities of the Augustana faculty. The collection includes minutes in the form of notebooks, loose sheets, and bound volumes. There are restricted materials in this collection – mainly student personnel committee records (meeting minutes and reports). The materials are restricted to protect the privacy of former students and campus organizations.
Augustana College Friendship Fair collection
The Friendship Fair had its origins in World War II, with the first official Friendship Fair being held in 1949. The annual carnival-style festival raised money to bring international students to Augustana and to send an Augustana student abroad for a year. The Augustana College Friendship Fair collection, 1953-1998 (bulk 1953-1976), contains publicity materials, publications, news clippings, scrapbooks, and memorabilia related to the annual Friendship Fair.
